L’Horta has been an occupied and anarchist social center since 2012, when a collective occupied an abandoned farmhouse and its surrounding land.
Over the years, the center has renovated the building and transformed the severely neglected plots of land into urban gardens. Guided by anti-racist, anti-patriarchal and anti-capitalist values, it provides a free space where the community can develop alternative forms of organization and collective action. The center has become a lively cultural hub, offering workshops in baking, vegan pastry making, yoga, guitar playing and more. Besides these free workshops, it hosts talks, film screenings, a reading and discussion group and a library. Through collaborative and collective action, the center continues to fight for the creation of a more sustainable future.
