Casetta Rossa is a pilot project for the management of a public park in Rome. A local laboratory for participation and activism. A cultural and social hub. A point of reference for the children and families of the neighborhood. A place for information and the distribution of high-quality, fair-trade food. A space open to proposals from local residents. The shared principles that have guided all the association’s activities from the beginning are based on an integrated vision of a society founded on social justice and the fight against inequalities; focused on sustainable development, recycling and reuse, combating waste and pollution, safeguarding the right to education, training, culture, and healthy, sustainable food; protecting children’s rights; promoting urban regeneration; and supporting practices that enhance quality of life while respecting the community and the environment.
