(IT) - Teatro Polivalente Occupato
Via Camillo Casarini, 17/5, 40131, Bologna, Italy
The Teatro Polivalente Occupato (TPO) was founded in 1995. After an initial eviction from the spaces of the Academy of Fine Arts in 2000, a former aquarium factory was occupied until 2007. Since then, TPO has been based at Via Casarini 17/5. As a social center, TPO is an indefinable and unbounded space by concept, with a core political attitude in its DNA. It stands out through daily political action, the creation of debate and conflict, and becomes an open, widespread, and participatory social context. This is the idea that guides it. TPO embodies antifascism and antisexism; it is communication and culture. TPO is a patient craftsman, dedicated to shaping practices of rights and freedom.
