La Gare Expérimentale is a former squat turned creative hub on the edge of Gentilly, Paris. Founded in 2005, it functions as an experimental art lab, performance venue, gallery, associative café, and creative space for the neighborhood. Initially occupying vacant buildings, it has benefited from official agreements with the city since 2011 to provide accessible spaces for free artistic creation.

The site hosts equipped workshops, rehearsal rooms, and residencies for performing arts, alongside exhibitions, concerts, film screenings, and craft projects. It also features a shared rooftop garden, a small mechanics garage, and spaces for collective living, where artists, residents, and visitors can meet, collaborate, and exchange ideas.

La Gare XP operates on a mix of volunteer work, community contributions, and event proceeds, fostering a participatory, evolving space that supports alternative lifestyles, creative experimentation, and local engagement in the heart of the city.
