Ru Paré
The Ru Paré Community is a community center located in a former primary school building in Slotervaart. Dozens of organizations and initiatives make it their home. There is a stage for events with a monthly social-cultural agenda with music, theatre, workshops and discussion. Besides that it is also a pleasant and accessible hang out space that is open daily from Monday to Friday until 21:00. We stand for inclusion and solidarity by strengthening the social infrastructure through commoning.
Do you have a fantastic idea for a cultural evening? Would you like to organize your own movie night? Do you know of a story that needs to be shared with the outside world, or is there a discussion that needs to be had? Looking for a space for a workshop? Or are you part of a network of musicians and looking for a fun lowkey place for people to perform? Maybe Ru Paré is the place to organize this!

De Ru Paré is gevestigd in een voormalig basisschoolgebouw in Slotervaart en vormt een Community met tientallen organisaties en initiatieven. Met de Theaterzaal bieden we een podium voor debat, literatuur, spoken word, theater en muziek. Tevens een gezellige en laagdrempelige ontmoetingsplek te zijn voor buurtbewoners. Ru Paré staat voor inclusie en sociale rechtvaardigheid: solidariserende buurteconomie en coöperatieve samenwerking.
Ook het Huis van de Wijk ‘De Buurtzaak’ is in de Ru Paré gevestigd en maakt daarmee deel uit van de Community. Wederkerigheid staat centraal in de Ru Paré Community. Iedereen die een beroep doet op de voorzieningen en faciliteiten van de Community geeft ook wat terug aan de Community. Deze manier van werken maakt van mensen deelnemers en participanten in plaats van klanten of consumenten. Mensen en groepen die niet de financiële middelen hebben kunnen door op een andere manier terug te geven alsnog gebruik maken van de faciliteiten.
