AADE (Amsterdam Alternative Dance Event)
From Wednesday 22 till Sunday 26 October Amsterdam will be covered in black & yellow ADE flags, banners, posters and other promo stuff. The city will then be taken over again by the international electronic dance music industry and flooded by tourists that are visiting Amsterdam to see there favorite DJ’s and/or live acts.
AADE (Amsterdam Alternative Dance Event) is organised by Amsterdam Alternative since 2019. We started the AADE not as an anti ADE event but to offer an alternative program that is more affordable, more experimental and far from all the commerce that comes with ADE.
This year the AADE events will take place at OT301, Cinetol, Ventilator cinema, De Nieuwe Anita and Parknest. Check the program overview below for details or go to agenda for info and tickets.

Brussels based Magma collective and EBB Music are teaming up for a special night filled with live shows and djs as part of Amsterdam Alternative Dance Event. At the core of the night: ECHT!, the Brussels-based quartet, returns to slap the dancefloor with their latest album Boilerism - a fierce blend of electro, trap and bass music, performed live with relentless precision and playful experimentation. They’ll be joined by the wildly unpredictable Borokov Borokov, blending angular synth-pop with hi-NRG, krautrock (with two t’s), supra-freudian elektrapunk, birthday-themed acid house, and multilingual lamentation. Also on the lineup: Coline Cornélis, resident of Magma since day one, who crafts deep, genre-blurring DJ sets where bass, emotion, and texture intertwine — sonic journeys for curious and open-minded dancefloors. And to close the night, rRoxymore will take us even deeper as the artist continues to be defined outside of common boundaries. Expect a night of raw, high-energy music in one of Amsterdam’s most iconic underground venues - the perfect way to kick off your AADE.

A collaborative night presented by Malvae and Tabula Rasa.
San Francisco–based Tabula Rasa is more than a record label — it’s a boundary-pushing collective run by Jozef White and Ramon Pang. Supported by artists such as Machinedrum, the label has built a reputation for its community-driven ethos and genre-defying vision. Fresh from hosting events with forward-thinking collectives like Daisychain, Tabula Rasa now arrives in Amsterdam to co-host with Malvae.
Having previously released the Division EP with Jaro on Tabula Rasa, Malvae now continues that collaboration with the label in Amsterdam. Together they present Faultline — an immersive night where electronic, organic, and experimental sounds collide. The evening also marks the premiere of Malvae’s Faultline EP, built in collaboration with the artists on the lineup and other close collaborators, and released on Tabula Rasa at midnight on October 24th.

On Thursday, October 24th from 15:00, The Noodle Show takes over OT301’s cinema for a daytime jam session as part of ADE. We’ll open with Papi Gaba, who creates post-lofi soundscapes using a setup of vintage 60’s measuring instruments. After the intro, the floor is open where artists and friends are welcome to join in, bring their gear, and noodle along in an easygoing, collective session.
