Save our Green! (Red ons Groen)
The Behoud Lutkemeer and Voedselpark Amsterdam Initiative has launched the Red ons Groen campaign. Together, we aim to prevent Proptimize BV from constructing a 55,000 m2 (equivalent to seven soccer fields) distribution hall on Amsterdam's last fertile agricultural land. With Red ons Groen, we refuse to accept the destruction of fertile soil for the profit of real estate developers with no connection to the city and land. In March 2024, it's crucial to show support for Red on Groen, as construction of the largest distribution center is scheduled for this first quarter of the year, and the partial revision of the zoning plan is on the municipal agenda. This is the last chance for our politicians to halt the construction plans and make space for community-led urban agriculture.
Here's how you can help:
1) We aim to collect 100,000 signatures in support of saving the Lutkemeerpolder via our website redonsgroen.nl
2) On March 6th, from 12:00 to 2:00 pm at Gustav Mahlerplein near Station Zuid, Red ons Groen will take over the Zuidas and protest against the real estate developers who, with international investors, are building massive distribution centers on our scarce land and greenery. Join us, dressed as a construction worker or project developer!
3) On March 13th, from 1:00 to 3:00 pm at Stopera, Save our Green will fill the plaza in front of the Stopera with "butterfly" adults and children and people of all ages in colorful animal costumes, aiming to put biodiversity on the agenda.
4) We stand every day next to Spinoza, near the Stopera, from 12:00 to 14:00 to raise awareness about 'Save Our Green'. Join us, check our agenda.on Monday, March 4th, we will be at Spinoza from 12:00 to 14:00 for our daily action. We will also be supporting the climate alarm by XR Amsterdam - Save our Green!

Red ons Groen!
Het Initiatief Behoud Lutkemeer en Voedselpark Amsterdam heeft de campagne Red ons Groen gelanceerd. Samen streven we ernaar om te voorkomen dat Proptimize BV een distributiehal van 55.000 m2 (gelijk aan zeven voetbalvelden) bouwt op de laatste vruchtbare zeeklei grond van Amsterdam. Met Red ons Groen weigeren we de vernietiging van vruchtbare grond te accepteren voor de winst van vastgoedontwikkelaarrs. Speculanten zonder enige binding met de stad en het land.
Maart 2024 is het cruciaal om steun te tonen voor Red ons Groen, aangezien de bouw van het grootste distributiecentrum gepland staat voor dit eerste kwartaal van het jaar, en de gedeeltelijke herziening van het bestemmingsplan op de gemeentelijke agenda staat. Dit is de laatste kans voor onze politici om de bouwplannen stop te zetten en ruimte te maken voor door de gemeenschap geleide stedelijke landbouw.
Zo kun je helpen:
1) We streven ernaar om 100.000 handtekeningen te verzamelen ter ondersteuning van het redden van de Lutkemeerpolder via onze website redonsgroen.nl
2) Op 6 maart, van 12:00 tot 14:00 uur op het Gustav Mahlerplein bij Station Zuid, neemt Red ons Groen de Zuidas over en protesteert tegen de vastgoedontwikkelaars die, met internationale investeerders, enorme distributiecentra bouwen op ons schaarse land en groen. Doe met ons mee, gekleed als bouwvakker of projectontwikkelaar!
3) Op 13 maart, van 13:00 tot 15:00 uur bij de Stopera, zal Red Ons Groen/Save our Green het plein voor de Stopera vullen met "vlinder" volwassenen en kinderen en mensen van alle leeftijden in kleurrijke dierenkostuums, met als doel biodiversiteit op de agenda te zetten.
4) We staan elke werkdag naast Spinoza, bij de Stopera, van 12:00 tot 14:00 uur om bewustwording te creëren over 'Red ons Groen'. Doe met ons mee, bekijk onze agenda. Op maandag 4 maart zijn we bij Spinoza van 12:00 tot 14:00 uur voor onze dagelijkse actie. We zullen ook de klimaatwaarschuwing van XR Amsterdam ondersteunen - Red ons Groen!
