Chieko, Joost and Juliano form a multi-instrumental ensemble that takes the audience on a journey through a vibrant world of sound, driven by creativity and musical curiosity.

Chieko Donker Duyvis is an Amsterdam-based cellist, vocalist and composer with Brazilian-Japanese roots. Joost Lijbaart is a versatile percussionist with extensive experience in jazz and free improvisation. Juliano Abramovay, from São Paulo, specializes in Mediterranean music on the oud as well as Brazilian guitar.

Together, they create an adventurous, richly textured sound that moves between free improvisation and original compositions inspired by South American and Japanese folk traditions - from dancing rhythms to deep, meditative soundscapes.

Drawing from a rich palette of sounds - from cello and voice to oud, guitar, inventive percussion and Brazilian folk instruments such as the rabeca and double flute -  the trio brings folk songs from across the world into a deeply expressive musical dialogue.
