The soft spot: Wool workshops

Autumn is here, and it’s time to welcome the darker part of the year in the spirit of craft(wo)manship*

A little carding, spinning, listening, weaving — getting our hands dirty with the pleasures and politics of making together. We’ll follow wool from fleece to yarn, feel into the ecologies and entanglements it carries, and contribute to a growing neighbourhood blanket. Think of it as a practice in collective tenderness, unruly fibres and the erotic art of paying attention. For everyone with a craft kink, a soft spot for sheep, or a curiosity about what happens when we get tangled up with the materials and worlds we depend on. Come for one session or all three.
