VESSELS FOR LIMINAL DIALOGUES
Weaving Wor(l)ds · A four-day (un)making intensive
Building as a method of listening, where we listen to the territory through the act of building.
Over four days, the Monstrous Futurities cohort, Fundación Organizmo and invited friends and partners work with willow, wild clay and black soil to (un)make a vessel: a temporary architecture of care that emerges through direct encounters between bodies, materials, territory and worlds. A structure capable of holding collective listening and reading, conversation and disagreement, silence, multiple languages and encounters that cannot be predetermined.
The intensive unfolds across four movements. Purge + Manifest → Listen + Transform → Hold + Inhabit → Invite + Activate. Territorial listening returns to the vessel and alters it. The vessel is inhabited while it is made. Scores, field recordings, drawings, material recipes and fragments of conversation are harvested each day as source material for weaving wor(l)ds.
Two thresholds open to publics.
Wednesday 7 October, 13:00 to 14:30: Fuego comunitario. An extended lunch at the fire with the wider Buurtwerkplaats Noorderhof community.
Friday 9 October: Loud Readers: conversation, silence, response.
@Buurtwerkplaats Noorderhof, Amsterdam Nieuw-West. Monday 5 to Thursday 8 October 2026
