Letters for Animals

Join us for an evening of good company and a little advocacy! If you can, bring a vegan dish to share, whether it’s homemade, store-bought, sweet, or savory. Every contribution is welcome, and it’s a great chance to try new recipes and swap ideas.

After we’ve eaten, we’ll write letters together on behalf of animals, to companies, policymakers, and decision-makers, asking for better protections and more compassionate choices. No experience needed: we’ll provide templates, talking points, paper, and pens, so all you have to bring is your voice.

Whether you’ve been vegan for years or are just curious, everyone is welcome. Leave inspired!

NieuwLand is wheelchair accessible but the toilets are not. The nearest public spaces with larger toilets are Wereld Museum Amsterdam (open Tuesday-Saturday 10-17) and hotel The Manor (open 24/7).

Entrance is free but there will be a donation jar (cash or pin). Please think about donating something if you are able - a place like NieuwLand can only exist through the contributions of volunteers and friends.
