Exhibition: Camilo 60&100pre

Jorge Camilo Torres Restrepo (1929–1966), or simply Camilo Torres, went down in history as the priest who united Colombia’s social sectors and became the first truly universal Colombian. The global impact of his testimony, memory and legacy has inspired social movements across the world. This exhibition is part of the 60&100pre campaign, which runs from the 60th anniversary of his death (2026) to the 100th anniversary of his birth (2029).

As RAIZ, Congreso de los pueblos, we are joining in to support this international campaign "Camilo 60&100pre" to keep Camilo’s memory and legacy alive and to highlight the critical situation the Colombian people are facing in their territories. It is now the moment to take a stand against the rise of global fascism, in the spirit of Camilo, bringing all of us together who can imagine a better life and join together to defend human rights and in Abya Yala and the world.
