Chapter 58’ is a group that shares a curiosity towards open-form improvisation, combining movement, text, and sound/music. Travelling between the disciplines, ‘Chapter 58’ invites the audience to step into a world of uncertainty, spontaneity, and risk-taking.

Founded in 2025, ‘Chapter 58’ grew from the desire to explore different approaches to composing work live on stage without fixed scores or outcomes. Each performance becomes its own world, shaped by the performers, the space, and the audience present in that moment. The works combine a pre-curated playlist inspired by the title of the performance, improvised movement, text and live-generated soundscapes with a loop station. The group's work often moves between the raw, the absurd, the intimate, and the unexpected.

Since its beginning, ‘Chapter 58’ has created and performed Chapter 1: Let's Perform, Zwarte Koffie AUB, Loops I Did It Again, Not All My Demons Are My Enemies, and Once in a Blue Moon in Dijktheater in Amsterdam. Every performance, being sold-out evenings, has attracted a wide range of audiences from young adults to people in their retirement age.
