Building Autonomous Communication Networks 

We invite autonomous places of the city to build a mesh network for the movement: in case of crises, collective action, and who knows what else. Mesh is a decentralised radio network functioning without internet, GSM, a central server, and an energy grid owned and operated by people using it. 

We discuss how we can practically organize a reliable and autonomous infrastructure: hardware, software, but more importantly, practices and protocols. 

This event is not just for a talk - it’s totally hands-on and practical.

NieuwLand is wheelchair accessible but our toilets are not!! (we are working on it). The nearest public spaces with wheelchair accessible toilets are Tropen Museum (open Tuesday-Saturday 10-17H) and hotel The Manor (open 24/7).
