SILENCE

SILENCE is een multidisciplinaire en interculturele samenwerking tussen wereldmuziek en hedendaagse dans. In deze performance onderzoeken handpanmuzikant Rishiraj Kulkarni (uit India) en danser Froukje Zijlstra (uit Nederland) de betekenis van stilte. Vanuit hun verschillende artistieke achtergronden ontstaat een intuïtieve dialoog tussen klank en beweging. Melodische en ritmische percussie verweven zich met fysieke expressie en creëren een zintuiglijke ervaring waarin vier verschillende aspecten van stilte worden verkend. 

SILENCE nodigt het publiek uit om te vertragen, te luisteren en stil te staan bij hoe stilte ruimte kan geven aan verbinding, balans en reflectie.

SILENCE is a multidisciplinary and cross-cultural collaboration between world music and contemporary dance. In this performance, handpan musician Rishiraj Kulkarni (from India) and dancer Froukje Zijlstra (from the Netherlands) explore the meaning of silence. From their different artistic backgrounds, an intuitive dialogue emerges between sound and movement. Melodic and rhythmic percussion intertwine with physical expression, creating a sensory experience in which four different aspects of silence are explored.

SILENCE invites the audience to slow down, listen, and reflect on how silence can create space for connection, balance, and reflection.
