On 16 May, The Hmm, Amsterdam's platform for internet cultures, hosts Symposihmm: The New Orality a full-day programme exploring what this means for how we think, learn, and communicate. Through talks, workshops, and performances, researchers and artists – including political scientist Kevin Munger, media scholar Reginold Royston, and artists Jonas Lund and Maria Mombers – unpack whether algorithmic platforms are chipping away at critical thinking, or whether we're simply navigating new modalities of knowledge.
