Dystopia Wetlands is a genre-defying live concert experience where music, movement, and visual art collide. Avant-pop artist Livia Rita leads the Avantgardeners — a fluid collective of musicians, dancers, and designers — through a 60-minute multisensory ritual that transforms the Sluisdeurenloods space into a living otherworld.

Expect sirenesque vocals layered over analog synthesisers and earthy electronics, as the band gradually surrenders their instruments to algorithms and field recordings from nature. Dancers in sculptural ArtFashion wearables metamorphose into radical, more-than-human creatures before your eyes.

Rooted in eco-feminism, post-gender choreography, and climate fiction, Dystopia Wetlands is equal parts concert, performance art, and collective ritual — a speculative landscape somewhere between dystopia and utopia.

Livia Rita works across music, performance and art fashion, building collaborative worlds with dancers, musicians and interdisciplinary artists. For Dystopia Wetlands, she activates a network of performers across the Netherlands and beyond.
