Line up: STAUB - Nymokku - sindroom stokholm - Candy Scandale - lur / mort

Het SOTU festival 2026 weekend begint in de Vondelbunker zoals gebruikelijk zeer divers met freejazz trio STAUB uit Dusseldorf, blazer/electronics duo lur / mort , Noisepoetry duo Sindroom Stockholm, Nymokky en Noisepunk duo Candy Scandale.

STAUB -  "Dust emerges from the debris of our world. Debris, a fragment of the whole, tells us much about how we treat that whole. With the whole in mind, the search for form endures; to give a voice to the resulting powerlessness that clings to it. We are all dust. And the whole—the 'mountains of the world.'   Staub are Sebastian Bathe - guitar, Christoph Görke - drums, Uwe Juchum - tenor sax.
Staub entsteht aus den Trümmern unserer Welt. Das Trümmer, ein Fragment des Ganzen, erzählt viel über unseren Umgang mit diesem Ganzen. Im Wissen um das Ganze, währt die Suche nach der Form; um der, diesem anhaftend, resultierenden Ohnmacht eine Stimme zu geben. Staub sind wir alle. Und das Ganze, das ''Gebirge der Welt'' .

Nymokku -  (De Wolf & Arpatle), is a dark ambient duo from Utrecht, The Netherlands. Our music is a result of utilizing various acoustic instruments and other objects as firewood for electronic processing.

sindroom stokholm - Sindroom Stokholm is a Noise Poetry duo established in 2015 that consists of poet Marcel Ozymantra and guitar player Dess Sart. By inventive use of guitar and Korg Dess Sart not only complements the Dutch poems, but manages to invest them with additional meaning. Added up they are more than the sum and a true challenge to both ear and eye. Sindroom Stokholm gets its inspiration from American alternative rock, modern classical music, Public Image Ltd and The Fall. I don't sing I just shout.
 

Candy Scandale - Candy Scandale is an experimental noise solo project by Diana Petrushka that inhabits the border between sound art and performance. Combining electronic drums, analog and digital synths, and poetic vocals, the project builds intense sonic environments where rhythm, feedback, and spoken word intertwine. Rooted in the rebellious energy of experimental and underground music scenes, Candy Scandale transforms noise into a language of expression—raw, emotional, and unapologetically free.

lur/ mort - searches for the ecstatic dimensions of noise and drones, striving for catharsis and individual expression in new rituals of cybernetic spirituality. Their immersive sound world is constructed through the acoustic sound sources of alto saxophone and a cymbal equipped with transducer speakers, manipulated through feedback systems, live sampling and effects. They find new sounds in their own constructed system of digital and physical circuits in the meeting with known and unknown objects.
