64MULA (pronounced sixtyformula) is a Finnish a band blasting sounds from the legendary Commodore 64 home computer - accompanied by turntable scratching,samplism and visuals. The backbone is the bass heavy sound made and played from a real Commodore 64 computer. Add some scratching, samples and bright visuals and you’ll encounter a totally unique wall of sound, colors and energy. Instead of those game-music-like bleeps and blops that many so called chiptune acts are known for, we deliver the underground dance music that makes your feet stomp and the party-place resonate.
The band was formed in 1999 and has been living and slowly evolving into something that we now feel is ready to take over the sound systems everywhere - the bigger, the better :)
We have made bunch of DIY cd¨s during the years and done a big amount of gigs, because that is where our heart is at. We’re definitely a live band - each gig being different story full of improvisation, energy and sense of danger!
