26/08: Dick Verdult: It is true but not here (Luuk Bouwman, 2017)
The career of Eindhoven-based artist and musician Dick Verdult spans decades. He is seen as ‘the last Dada-ist’. This documentary explores Verdult’s multidisciplinary, international art practice. We see Verdult at work in his studios in Bergeijk (The Netherlands) and Calanda (Spain) and on tour in Peru, Colombia and Argentina. The film is filled with humor, but there are serious issues at stake in these increasingly xenophobic times.

@IN-EDIT NL is a music documentary festival with new international and Dutch music documentaries. Next to the screening of the films, the festival has live performances by matching musicians, Q&A’s with artists and directors, and industry meetings arranged for and by professionals. Every screening is introduced by an (online) introduction by the director.

Other screenings in this program:

19/08: Strange Sound of Happiness (Diego Pascal Panarello, 2018)
In this surprising debut, director Diego Pascal Panarello tells his own story, that of an unemployed young Sicilian with few prospects, fascinated by the hypnotic sound of the scacciapensieri, the mouth harp that the recently deceased Ennio Morricone incorporated into his soundtracks for spaghetti westerns.
