Unknown Electronics celebrates its 21th edition by inviting Foon, Pier MacKenzie, Jack Fresia, Warr, Lenfant Soleil for a trip from downtempo electronica to techno.
Unknown Electronics is the first LIVE Electronic Music collective in Amsterdam. Our goal is to foster creativity and expression through live events showcasing electronic musicians from diverse backgrounds. All genres from ambient, glitch, experimental to acid and warehouse techno to breakcore are represented, as long as we bring novelty to our community.
We feature exclusively live sets.

Foon
As a duo, Foon initiate musical compositions from simple repetition-based structures that gradually build up, incorporating different layers to create intricate sound sculptures. The interactivity between saxophone sounds and the electronic world achieves a delicate balance, transitioning from familiar, traditional melodies to the innovative sculpting of sound.
Using modern electronic music instruments, synthesizing digital sounds with the help of transistors and digital computer software. Combining with traditional aspect of music lies in the saxophone, which hasn't changed much since its creation in the mid-19th century but has adapted its sound through its existence in different continents, ethnic, and cultural groups.

Pier MacKenzie
British/Italian live electronic artist, sound designer, and composer carving deep, sonic soundscapes in his studio output and live performances. Blurring lines between electronica, ambient, and experimental compositions, his music channels raw emotion into evolving landscapes of rhythm and texture. Whether through immersive recordings or transcendent live performances, his music is an exploration of shadows and light, distortion and silence—his works explore a deep dive into the liminal space between control and chaos.

Jack Fresia
Jack Fresia - Italian DJ and producer living in Amsterdam since 2015, on top of his DJ and Live Performance career, he is currently teaching music production at Deep House Academy and, since 2019 label head at Modular Side Music. His love for the underground sounds is present in everything he does, so expect a focus on synthetic landscapes, dark and evolving ambiences from his modular rig!

Warr
Warr is an Amsterdam-based electronic music producer from East London, UK. Inspired by contempoary and avant-garde approaches to dance music, he bridges dark and unconventional sound textures interlaced with raw and hypnotic techno grooves in his live sets.

Lenfant Soleil
Lenfant Soleil’s live act as been fully imagined to allow infinite creative soundscapes a mix of analog and digital synthesizers to cover the widest catalog of sounds mixed with an FX template that allows smooth transitioning and clean progression of arrangements. With this set I fully allow myself to rediscover my flow whenever I play, wich creates a unique moment in time that will slowly become a nostalgia for people that experienced it. Lenfant Soleil live is a series of textures, universes and digital environments flowing together to create a story l like no other.
