As part of the Vrije Ruimte festival and 750 Amsterdam programme, Treehous NDSM is presenting Art in Action! A community-driven event focused on connecting and creating bonds through participatory art projects and interactive workshops.

Art in Action covers a wide range of artistic disciplines, themes and methodologies, and include options for both adults and kids. Some of them focus on creatively addressing subjects such as sustainability and cultural diversity, while others aim to dive straight into artforms and processes, like learning how to paint or make a song together with others. 
As part of the program, we are presenting two Creative Journeys, each consisting of three workshops. We promise a fufilling creative afternoon with a prismatic range of activities!

Kids Zine Workshop
Waar ben jij super fan van? Of heb je een boodschap waarvan je wil dat de hele wereld het weet? In deze 30 minuten workshop gaan we knippen, plakken, schrijven, tekenen en kopietjes maken om onze eigen Zine in elkaar te zetten. 

Theatre adventure by Julia Rosenthal
Wat neem jij mee als de aarde niet meer leefbaar is? In deze speelse theaterles voor kinderen van 6 tot 10 jaar reizen we door de ruimte, bedenken we nieuwe werelden en beleven we de spannendste avonturen! Laat je fantasie de vrije loop en speel mee op 5 juli – een half uur vol plezier en ontdekking! 

Talisman Kleien Workshop
We hebben allemaal wel een wens, voor onszelf, onze familie, onze buurt of onze lievelings voetbalclub. Waarvan we hopen dat die op een dag uit zal komen. Om dit een beetje op gang te helpen, maken we in 30 minuten uit klei een kleine wens talisman.

What are you a big fan of? Or do you have a message that you want the whole world to know? In this 30-minute workshop we will cut, paste, write, draw and make copies to put together our very own Zine. 

Theatre adventure by Julia Rosenthal
What would you take if Earth were no longer livable? In this playful theatre class for kids aged 6 to 10, we’ll travel through space, imagine new worlds, and go on the most exciting adventures! Let your imagination run wild and join us on July 5 for a fun-filled 30 minutes of creativity and discovery!

Clay Talisman Workshop
We all have a wish: for ourselves, our family, our neighbourhood or our favourite football club. Which we hope will come true one day. To help this along, we will make a small wish talisman out of clay in 30 minutes.
