Teboho Mochaoa, bekend als Morena Leraba, is een zanger en rapper uit Lesotho. Hij gebruikt voornamelijk traditionele Sesotho lyrics en combineert deze met elektro, afro house en hiphop. Zijn lyrics vloeien voort uit Lesotho’s traditionele muziek, poëzie en het sub-genre, famo. 

In 2016 bracht hij zijn debuutsingle ‘Bojete’ uit. Deze kreeg al snel de aandacht van de Brooklynse producer Kashaka. Er volgde een samenwerking tussen Leraba en de Braziliaanse TrapFunk & Alivio, die samen met de artiest Mankind uit Johannesburg de single ‘Impepho’ uitbrachten. Hij komt ook voor op Spoek Mathambo’s album Mzansi Beat Code en op Blk Jk’s single ‘Harare’. Verder kan je ook naar hem luisteren op Damon Albarn’s Afrika Express EGOLI Album. In maart 2019 kwam het nummer ‘Hands up’ van Major Lazer uit; deze kreeg veel media aandacht. Leraba had ook hieraan meegewerkt, samen met de Zuid-Afrikaanse zangeres Moonchild Sanelly.

Nic Mauskovic ken je wellicht van Mauskovic Dance Band, Devon Rexi en W.I.T.C.H.. Hij toerde de wereld rond met zijn funky muziek en de invloeden uit Zuid-Amerika en Afrika hoor je terug in zijn sound. 

Nicolini is een waanzinnig solo-project van Nic Mauskovic, dat hij introduceerde met de LP ‘Penni’s Palace', uitgebracht door het Amsterdamse label South of North. Stel je dit voor; funky zebra print stoelen, kleurrijke televisieschermen en een Casio keyboard die de ruimte vult met dub drenched jams. Join de Nicolini speeltuin en bounce mee op de sax riffs, dubby wave, mutant dancehall en crazy 180 bpm experimenten!

De Zimbabwaanse singer-songwriter maakt gebruik van melodieën en composities die, gepaard met haar poëtische insteek, een emotionele ervaring achterlaten. Haar muziek is een combinatie van jazz, blues, rhythm en reggae met Afrikaanse invloeden.

In 2016, he released his debut single, "Bojete". The single that got the attention of Brooklyn-based producer Kashaka. He later collaborated with Brazil's TrapFunk & Alivio alongside Johannesburg's Mankind on the single "Impepho". He was also featured on Spoek Mathambo's 2017 album Mzansi Beat Code, and on the Blk Jks’ single, "Harare". He also featured on Damon Albarn's Africa Express EGOLI album, a process that spawned the "Johannesburg" single that went on to get played on BBC Radio 6. In March 2019, he was featured on the Major Lazer single "Hands Up", which also featured South African singer Moonchild Sanelly and also appeared on the SABC 3 television show, Afternoon Express.

You might know Nic Mauskovic from Mauskovic Dance Band, Devon Rexi and W.I.T.C.H.. He toured the world with his funky music and you can hear South-American and African influences in his sound. 

Nic Mauskovic introduced the wonderful world of Nicolini with the LP ‘Penni’s Palace’, released by Amsterdam label South of North. Picture this; funky zebra-chairs, colorful television screens and, of course, at the very center, a Casio keyboard filling the air with dub drenched jams.
