SNEAKOUT, Amsterdam’s hottest queer live music event is BACK.
This time, we’re returning to Cinetol an all female + non-binary rap edition.
We’re giving you a stunning mix of rap, Hip Hop and finishing things off with hyperpop, with performances from ZULU GREEN, ELMER, Suzooki Swift and a DJ set from No Plexus.
ELMER
Some say that Elmer is the alter-ego of producer and rapper Merel Pauw. Others say that Elmer is the lost son (or daughter, what you want) of a lovely cult. They are inspired by artists like Peaches, Mr Oizo and de Jeugd van Tegenwoordig. The music can be described as a combination of electronic funky beats with very funny lyrics. Elmer is a way for Merel to have full artistic freedom and combine her experience as actrice, theatermaker with her musical ambitions.
Zulu Green
ZULU GREEN is an Amsterdam based multi dynamic artist who uses their voice as their instrument. Zulu proudly identifies as genderfluid en genrefluid as an artist, which means they are constantly evolving and drawing inspiration from a variety of creative influences. ‘ZULU’ stands for the black heritage and ‘GREEN’ represents the Green heart chakra, because everything comes from the HE.ART.
With their unique sound, ruffneck-in-your-face approach, and boundless creativity, ZULU GREEN is quickly establishing themselves as a force to be reckoned with in the music world.
Suzooki Swift
Who is Suzooki Swift? Crossing boundaries of reality and fiction, rapper-producer Suzooki Swift explores alternative ways of being in music: dangerous, elusive and unapologetic. Consisting of hard beats and lyrical madness, her self-titled debut EP was specifically engineered to make you feel invincible. Join the party and let loose - you don’t want to miss this.
No Plexus
No Plexus are quickly making a name for themselves in the experimental electronic music scene with a truly unique combination of complex sound design, non-traditional song forms and storytelling. Their music and performances can be described as genre-queer; as the duo carefully combines elements of a wide variety of modern electronic music genres to express complex concepts and emotions such as millennial dread and queer joy. DJ sets from No Plexus oscillate between playful, elastic sound design, exaggerated remixes of hyperpop artists in the PC Music adjacent community and viscerally industrial beats from the cursed backrooms of Soundcloud. No Plexus are Rewire’s Young Artist in Residence for 2023 and 2024.
