OCCII photo benefit exhibition & print sale

Many of us are missing live music, terribly. We are grieving the sudden death of concerts. We are craving the quirky, sweaty, crowded OCCII shows the most, but also the really weird ones that probably only 10 people would attend. There is no place like the OCCII! It has a unique character, a beauty and a rawness to it that cannot be replaced and certainly will not be forgotten.

The idea of building up a concert photography exhibition with photos made at the OCCII was born of the intention to bring music back to the venue, in the way photographers know best - through their images. Sharing souvenirs of a recent past that feels so distant already, but also providing some financial aid to keep the venue going as further possible, as the proceeds of this creative solidarity action are 100% for the OCCII.

More than 20 photographers responded to the call to look through their archives and to donate photos made at OCCII events, throughout the years. Everybody that showed interest in participating was included, professional and amateur photographers alike.

The offline exhibition took place on the 26th, 27th and 28th of June and people visiting could purchase the prints. There were also some art prints by Rogier Smal and a little booklet about the event made by Roger NBH, both regular OCCII collaborating artists.

The remaining prints are available for sale at occii.org.
